Gladstone London are a designer, manufacturer and retailer of high-end, often tailor made, leather bags; drawing inspiration from the heritage of the original Gladstone bag and the ‘London Made’ movement of the early 20th Century. We collaborated with the in-house communication team to develop a narrative around a passion for craft, gender-neutral products and reviving a lost British icon.
The aim was to ensure that a user had a similar experience online to in-store. One is struck by the smell of the leather on entering the store and encouraged to explore the finer details of the craftsmanship. The UX gives equal real estate to experiencing the brand and buying opportunities. The buying journey itself puts a visual emphasis on exploring the quality of the product.
