Marco Frezza is a non-figurative artist whose work questions painting’s capacity to communicate meaning. He constructs ordered frameworks only to undermine them, allowing contradiction to become an active subject within the work. He is interested in the tension between control and collapse, creating works that resist resolution and remain in a continual state of negotiation. He views his practice as an ontological experiment - finite objects attempting to map the un-mappable, where each work becomes a relic of failure. Frezza has work held in private collections and his CV includes an institutional solo exhibition. He is a founding member of the Dot Dot Dot collective.
